Professional laser engraving on metal, plastic and other materials
At Special-Teknik A/S, we offer professional laser engraving in both 2D and 3D on a wide range of materials. We handle everything from technical marking to decorative tasks and special items, and we work with individual pieces, small series, and production items. Our experience and modern equipment enable us to deliver precise and durable results, regardless of the task's size.
We often combine laser engraving with other machining methods such as CNC milling, which means we can deliver finished parts with both engraving and mechanical machining in one integrated solution.
We handle both standard and special assignments
We have, over the years, completed a wide range of laser engraving tasks. These range from machine plates and injection moulds to stamping dies, spark electrodes, and branding irons. We have also provided engraving for special tasks such as logos for the Mustang GT2, components for prototypes, and company logos on gifts and signs. Whether you have a finished drawing or just an idea, we are happy to help you bring it to life.
Materials we laser engrave
We laser engrave a wide range of materials and always adapt the process to the individual item and purpose. We work with, among other things:
- Stainless steel (brushed and polished)
- Aluminium, both raw and anodised
- Brass and copper
- Acrylic, ABS, nylon and other types of plastic
- MDF, plywood and solid wood
- Rubber, leather and speciality items
In our warehouse, we typically have 10 to 15 different sizes of ground stainless steel ready for use. In addition, we offer aluminium foil with tape on the back, which can be cut to special dimensions and installed easily without the need for tools.
High precision and flexible production
Our laser systems are extremely precise and can be adjusted for even very fine details. For example, we can engrave on a surface covered only by marker pen without affecting the material itself. This makes laser engraving suitable for technical marking, design, and series production. The method is contact-free, meaning minimal wear and gentle processing, even of thin or sensitive items.
Design and file formats
We happily accept finished files in formats such as DXF, PDF, or AI. If you do not have a finished drawing, we also offer design and construction based on a sketch, logo, or other specification. Before we begin production, we will send a proof for approval, so you know exactly what you will receive.
Vector formats are preferred, but we can also work from image files. In that case, we will help to convert and adapt the material. We have access to a wide range of fonts, but if you want a specific font, it can be sent along with the task.
Delivery and process
Before we start a job, we will send a quote and inform you of the expected delivery time. Most laser jobs can be completed within approximately one week. If you have an urgent matter, you are always welcome to contact us – we will do what we can to find a solution that fits your schedule.
